Entry to Employment (e2e) Programmes are courses for 16-18 year olds who have not yet achieved a full level 2 and who may need their self confidence and social skills developed to enable them to pursue their chosen career path. Each young person is supported by dedicated staff who are able to encourage and develop a young person to their full potential.
e2e Programmes consist of 3 elements:
• Vocational/employability skills
• Personal and Social Development
• Functional Skills in English/Maths and ICT
Young people who undertake an e2e Programme work towards qualifications in each of the above areas if it is appropriate for them, and will agree with the Provider an individualised programme for them to follow for approximately 22 weeks. e2e is very successful in progressing young people onto Apprenticeships, Further Education courses at College, and Employment.
At present, young people on an e2e Programme can claim £30 through Educational Maintenance Allowance as well as bonuses for achieving agreed targets throughout their programme.
e2e is a successful programme offered by a variety of Providers in Kent, which include Nacro, KEY Training, JHP, Catch 22, TBG, Mid Kent College, Northwest Kent College Each Provider offers different types of e2e Programmes to address the needs and aspirations of their client group.
